No but yes but nooooo but yes…
I stood there at Costco for the first time in 5 years, friend, (yup, I am outing myself that I let my membership expire in 2019 and just got a new one!) staring at the box of 4 frozen pizzas thinking “Do I need this? Do I really need this? Do I really need this now?”
Here’s where my brain was:
My kids are homeschooled and they like a hot lunch.
Pizza totally counts as a hot lunch.
Pizza is easy (for me).
Pizza is enjoyed by my children, most days that I make it.
Costco frozen pizza is actually reasonably not terrible as far as frozen pizza goes.
But do I have a pizza still in the freezer? Do I have 1 or do I have 2?
There’s no way they’ll eat more than one in a lunchtime, so do I need this now?
Do I even have ROOM for all 4 new pizzas with all my freezer meals? (I’ve been saving them for when our community days begin…)
Which then led to a series of questions in my brain about clutter —
where to store things in our home, and I probably don’t need that, I should probably get rid of it, but I saw this new to me thing on FB Marketplace that would look great there and really be good for storage, but I need to wipe down the walls, and the walls need to be painted, and do I want to paint the cabinets green? Or should should i paint them brown? And you know what smells really good in the kitchen? Cookies. Should I make cookies when we get home? Yes I should. What kind? I should make peanut butter chocolate chip cookies —
I use ½ cup brown sugar, 1 cup regular sugar…
– so by the time I decided NO on the pizzas we’d arrived on the next aisle at the 17 lb bag of chocolate chips that we just had to have.
It’s funny how sometimes the things we think we don’t need turn out to be exactly what we end up relying on —
Much like this oversized, cozy sweatshirt I picked up on a whim (a good story I may share in another newsletter) or the one my husband brought me home from his trip (he knows I LOVE COZY) shown below.
So, there, despite the sweltering 90-degree weather 1738393% percent humidity, it has become my go-to comfort piece, perfect for those chilly, air-conditioned rooms or unexpected cool breezes.
Who would have thought that something so seemingly impractical would become such a staple in my daily life?
Just because it’s impractical in the heat like my sweatshirt or a 17 lb bag of chocolate chips (ok it’s not 17 lbs but it sure feels like it) doesn’t make it impractical in life.

Art + COMFORT = THE BEST THING EVER
This sweatshirt has become my go-to comfort piece, proving that sometimes the things we don't think we need become essentials. It’s also a kind of a funny story how I stumbled upon it, so I’ll save that for another newsletter.
TL;DR: a cozy sweatshirt is a must have, and a cozy sweatshirt with ART no one else has is a must-have in your wardrobe. Here are five reasons why you need one:
Comfort in Every Season: A cozy sweatshirt is a warm hug that you can wear. Whether you're in a chilly air-conditioned room or facing a brisk breeze, it provides the perfect layer of warmth and comfort.
Express Your Personality: Wearing art on your sweatshirt is a wonderful way to express your individuality and style. It reflects your interests, mood, and personality, making it a unique fashion statement.
Versatility: A sweatshirt with art is so stinking versatile. You can pair it with jeans for a casual look, or dress it up with a skirt for something more chic. It effortlessly transitions from lounging at home to running errands or meeting friends. If I had time, I'd tag some influencers I've seen do this really well.
Conversation Starter: Art has a way of sparking conversations. Whether it's a famous painting or a quirky design, your sweatshirt can become a topic of discussion, helping you connect with others who share similar interests.
Emotional Connection: There's something special about wearing art that resonates with you. It can evoke emotions, inspire creativity, or remind you of a cherished memory, making it more than just a piece of clothing.
A cozy sweatshirt with art on it is not just practical but also a delightful addition to your wardrobe.
