The music was booming, the dance floor was packed, and somewhere between the bouquet toss and the conga line, I was at my easel, paintbrush in hand, capturing it all.
This is my job: painting weddings while they’re happening. Live. It’s chaotic, unpredictable, and so full of life that I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Sometimes a guest wanders over to ask if I can paint their tie into the picture (true story). Sometimes I’m working in the glow of fairy lights under a summer sky, and sometimes it’s candlelight bouncing off tuxedos in a historic ballroom. Every celebration is different, but the goal is always the same: turn fleeting moments into something timeless.
Painting the Party is where I share what it’s really like to bring art to life at weddings and events. The stories, the process, the behind-the-scenes mishaps that make it unforgettable. Whether you’re an artist curious about this career or someone who just loves a good peek behind the curtain of a celebration, you’ll find something here.
So grab a drink, settle in, and let’s dive into the colors, the chaos, and the magic of painting the party.

It’s truly the greatest honor to paint these events!
