Happy Friday, friend,
This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about the power of staying true to your vision. I stumbled on this article that now I can’t find about (squirrel) a brand I’d never heard of — and their approach to the fast fashion industry.
So when I find the article again, I’ll link it, but until then — here’s my takeaway:
Success isn’t about being the loudest or the flashiest. It’s about creating something so meaningful, so grounded in your values, that it speaks for itself.
This is a lesson I carry with me every time I pick up my brushes. Trends come and go (remember millennial pink? and grey walls? and farmhouse?), but creating art that resonates—that’s timeless. It’s why I spend time getting to know my clients and their stories before painting their wedding day or creating a custom piece. I want the final artwork to feel like an extension of them, not just a pretty picture that fits the moment.
Whether you’re an artist, a dreamer, or just someone looking to infuse a little more intention into your life, this is your reminder: Trends are fleeting, but meaning endures.
So, what does that look like for you? Maybe it’s curating a wardrobe that feels like you, even if it’s not what’s in every storefront window. Or maybe it’s choosing home décor that tells your story, rather than what a Pinterest board says is “in.”
For me, it’s choosing to slow down, to create with care, and to focus on what matters most: making art that celebrates love and life in its most beautiful, authentic forms.

• I’ve been loving muted, neutral tones in watercolor lately—a nod to timeless palettes.
• Did you catch the Watercolor Wednesday tutorial on the winter forest? I know it’s almost spring, but I *bet* we have another cold snap soon. Or this cute flower bouquet? Flowers never go out of style (and neither do ginger jars).
